- 25 years in Red Wing — raised three children here, married to husband Brooke for 31 years
- Founded Hope and Harbor Homeless Shelter in 2019, serving as Executive Director for 5 years and securing $900,000 in funding for the shelter and to establish The Next Step program
- 2024 Red Wing Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee for community impact
- B.S. in Accounting and Finance, backed by experience as an Internal Auditor for a Fortune 500 company
- Proven local leader: Currently serves as HRA Commissioner and Executive Director of Red Wing Area Seniors/Pier 55
- Deep community roots: Faith Formation instructor, volunteer board member for Red Wing Hockey, Soccer, and Swim & Dive Associations
Liz Magill's Priorities
Housing Working Families Can Afford
Red Wing needs more entry-level housing options so young families can put down roots here instead of buying elsewhere. I’ll work to make homeownership realistic for the working families who keep our economy growing.
Stronger Schools Through a Growing Community
Declining enrollment in Red Wing Public Schools starts with a housing and affordability problem — families need a place to live before they can raise kids here. I’ll focus on making Red Wing a community families choose to grow up in.
Letting Seniors Age in Place
Seniors who’ve spent a lifetime in Red Wing shouldn’t be priced out of staying here. I’ll control spending so Red Wing is an affordable, livable option for seniors who want to remain in their homes and community.
